You & Me Are One - 2 Poems

You+and+Me+Poems+attached+pic+2.jpg

Half asleep at 3am, I wrote these two short poems, rising into

you and it’s me. After, a word image appeared in my mind and wouldn’t leave me til I captured it on paper. (See image.)

rising into you

Carissa, Carissa,

Carissa, Carissa,

what is weighing you down
so much?
Or do I have
it wrong
You are weighing
you down
too much?

Or maybe

I have it wrong?

you are rising up
now
and I'm behind the curve
as you are rounding the
bend
heading up into the sky

on the gentle arc
of rising
up and into
the real
you.
Dear Carissa, Dear Carissa,
I am with you, too.

it’s me

Gregory Gregory

You're Right
You're Right

I push you away
You seep into my Soul
I push you away
You seep into my Soul.

You're Right
You're Right

I cannot Escape
my
Self.
